The tribunal removes Adeleke as Governor. Governor Ademola Adeleke has been removed from office as the lawful governor of Osun State by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. The tribunal was held in Osogbo.

According to a paper signed by just half of the judges, INEC must revoke Adeleke’s Certificate of Return and issue a new one to former Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola.

Justice Tertse Kume, the court’s chairman, read the majority opinion, which found that Oyetola had 314,931 valid votes to Adeleke’s 290,266.
