Manchester United are ready to rival Bayern Munich and make a bid for £ 85m-rated Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, while Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk claims that Wolves are set to pack their record signing off on loan to Belgium.
MAN UTD TO LAUNCH OSIMHEN BID
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are being tipped to make a move for £ 85million-rated Napoli forward Victor Osimhen in the coming weeks.
With continued doubts over the futures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski respectively, both clubs are expected to be in the market for a new No.9.
And, according to La Gazzetta dello Sportthey could lead to bids for the Nigeria international.
The report states that Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti is lining up Chelsea attacker Armando Broja, despite wanting to keep Osimhen.
The 23-year-old has scored 66 goals in 152 career appearances. But it was last season in Serie A where he really piqued the interest of a number of clubs.
Osimhen notched 18 goals and six assists in all competitions as the Naples outfit finished third in Serie A.
United sweating over Ronaldo’s future
United’s need for a new central attacker would be an absolute must if Ronaldo does depart Old Trafford.
Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich eyeing late moves for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen
Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich could move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen if Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski depart their clubs this summer.
The Portugal legend has not arrived back for pre-season at United and wants out of the club. Their failure to secure Champions League football has been cited as his main reason for wanting to end his stay a year earlier than expected.
Meanwhile, Lewandowski has made it clear he is determined to leave Bayern, with a switch to Barcelona mooted.
And with the German champions ruling out the signing of Ronaldo themselves, a move for Osimhen is also now on their radar.
