some android phones can have expensive repair costs. such as the display. since flagships and midrangers use amoled. LCDs are quite cheap.

Expect to pay at least double. And in case you break the back glass, be ready to empty the bank account, cause that one costs $600. That’s how it is with apples. They overcharge for everything

For me, it’s always Android for life ✌️ Never bought an iPhone or ever will

And the skins OEMS slapping on the top of their phones are getting weirder and heavier with each android version.
I might soon move to iPhone after being on Android for almost 9 or more years
impinas, 1 hour agoIf people go and buy that frakkin’ UGLY device, then I don’t know what to say really… moreHonestly? it’s not THAT bad looking… Yeah. it’s a bit of an eyesore. but we saw worse.

Michy, 1 hour agoThere are some paradoxical topics: The demand for Apple devices (US company) in China is i… moreXiaomi most likely did not launch the Xiaomi 12s ultra in Europe for business reasons. The Euro has weakened so much against the Chinese rmb that for this to be launched at effectively the same price as the Xiaomi 11 ultra it would need to be at least 150 euro more than the Xiaomi 11 ultra and up to 200 more. This would make it €1350-€1,400. With the current economic climate would they sell enough at that price to make it worthwhile? Probably not. Although Xiaomi has not succeeded in the high end market in China like Huawei did, their sales for flagships there would still be more than they would in Europe or India, their two other major markets. The Xiaomi 13 series is not too far away as well so that could be influencing their decision. The phone is not out of stock at the moment at least in the higher storage variants so they should have enough supply in a month or two if they do want to do a global launch
Of course, China will export iPhones to Russia.
Android flagship has many advantages over iPhones in cameras and displays, but their chipsets are more than three years behind Qualcomm and Samsung Foundry due to the slump.
For those who want to buy flagship smartphones worth more than $900, chipsets are one of the main considerations, and for them, Android flagship may no longer feel attractive.
In particular, the popularity of Android flagship is rapidly decreasing in China, which has BBK and Xiaomi.
Many people leaving android and moving to iOS, I’m going to move too, not android, but if the manufacturers are already disgusting!!!
There are some paradoxical topics:
The demand for Apple devices (US company) in China is increasing and is strong.
Instead, Chinese devices from some companies have access to Google services (US company) banned… or as in the case of Xiaomi and its latest 12S Ultra they do not launch it globally due to alleged component problems.
iPhone is now more wanted than ever before and this is still just a start. In next two years Apple have good change to be number one even in unit sales, it’s propably going to be quite close this year already,
If people go and buy that frakkin’ UGLY device, then I don’t know what to say really, we are doomed as consumers…
